Silversmithing, an ancient craft dating back to civilizations like Mesopotamia and Egypt, involves shaping silver into stunning objects. From delicate jewelry to elegant tableware and decorative pieces, silversmiths create timeless treasures.

In this workshop, we'll delve into the ancient art of blacksmithing. Our focus will be on the fundamental technique of forging, using hammers to shape a small silver bar into a unique spoon. By the end of the day, you'll have crafted a one-of-a-kind silver spoon, a testament to your creativity and skill.

What to expect:

  • Safety First: We'll provide safety glasses to protect your eyes.
  • Essential Tools: You'll have access to an anvil, various hammers, a gas burner, a brass brush, and a polishing machine.
  • Your Silver Journey: You'll work with a small silver bar, weighing approximately 20-25 grams.
  • Material Cost: Please note that you'll be responsible for the cost of the silver used. The current price of silver is around €2 per gram.

So, gather your enthusiasm and join us for a day of forging, shaping, and creating. Let's transform a simple silver bar into a beautiful, functional piece of art.
